Frigid Farm

Two Rivers, Alaska

Along with the hobby of raising sheep, Andrew learned to shear, which then lead to him shearing for our friends. So in 2015, we bought an overhead shearing machine from the UK and  IT.IS.AWESOME! It runs off a 12v car battery and is easily portable. He has experience shearing many different breeds, from Shetland to Suffolk to Merino, and many crosses in between. It is important to us to provide good sheep handling, minimal 2nd cuts/nicks, take biohazard precautions between flocks, and maintain a positive line of communication and relationship with our clients.

We are available to travel across the state of Alaska to shear sheep, both small flocks and large! Contact us to arrange.

We have 3 little shepherds and a shepherdess that travel with us. They love sheep and farming as much as we do!

Pricing: Subject to change, but it is important to us to keep our fees as low as possible.

-$10-$12 for large flocks, $15 for small numbers

-$10-$20 travel charge to help offset the cost of fuel

-Hooves - $3/head

-Wrangling, filthy sheep, and rams will incur extra charges

Thank you so much, and we look forward to the upcoming season and meeting more fellow shepherds!

The first sheep AJ sheared, 2011. Don't worry, he's gotten a LOT of practice since then :)
